1. Global Communications PowerPoint / Image Manipulation Project

- Geoff presented the process that students followed in completing the PowerPoint/Image manipulation project that was done in collaboration with the 9th Grade English classes. In English, Students worked on a class quilt that told their personal stories. To augment their learning in that class and the improve the expression of these ideas, the students created powerpoint presentations that told these same stories. To personalize them, students manipulate images and their own pictures to mesh them into an edited image (e.g. a student telling a story of a snowboarding experience would use Macromedia Fireworks to blend their face on to the head of a snowboarder image). Students presented their stories in the class using the PPT presentations. Students offered their classmates feedback on what they did well and what they could improve for the next time they present.
